My nephew’s artwork – a sort of floral carpet which is traditionally done to mark the festival Onam in the South Indian State of Kerala. And, as with everything festive, a big part of the festival is a vegetarian feast served on banana leaves. Festivities include a boat race, and he created a boat with flowers and leaves. Kerala is known for its abundant coconut palms, and I think my nephew did a pretty good job of capturing the essence of the land and its festivities.
